Petty Traffic Citations
Our office handles routine traffic violation cases for a low retainer fee. The results gained from our representation could include an amendment of the charge, dismissal of the citation, or court supervision, depending on the nature of the offense, prior traffic record, and the defendant's age (driver's under age 21 are subject to graduated driver's licensing rules).
Additionally, the Illinois State Bar Association has published
this brochure about what to do if you are involved in an automobile accident.
DUI's
The representation of DUI defendants has become very complex over the years, as the law in this area is coninually changing. The outcome in each case will vary significantly from case to case, based upon the defendant's previous driving history, aggavating factors such as personal injury or property damage, whether the DUI charge was alcohol or drug based, whether or not the defendant submitted to sobriety tests, how high they tested, etc. All DUI defendants are required to undergo an alcohol & drug evaluation, and if convicted can be fined and/or imprisioned, be required to attend a victim impact panel, complete alcohol/drug counseling, do community service work, and/or have a BAID device intalled in their vehicle.
